Reinholdt & Co. was founded in 1954 as a trout farming enterprice. Since then the company has expanded to include serval trrot farms in and along the coast of Jutland, as well as a sea farm in The Faeroe Islands.

In the beguinning fish was exported by truck and rail to customers in most parts of Europe. Then, in the early 1960's, Reinhold & Co. established its own processing plant where the fish is slaughtered and packed fresh with ice for the European market. With increasing demand for the company's products, the range has expanded to include fresh trout fillets and salmon trout roe. Reinholdt & Co. today exports its products all over Europe.
